We cordially invite you to attend “The Frontier NCPSS Series –The 1st BioSAXS Forum and 2016 Summer School of Structural Biology” to be held on June 27 – June 30, 2016, in Shanghai, China. This is an inaugural conference to be hosted by National Center for Protein Science Shanghai (NCPSS), SIBCB, SIBS. The meeting will include Symposium and Workshops.
Aims and Scope
The goal of the symposium is to promote the application of BioSAXS in protein research in China. We invited world’s top experts in the field of BioSAXS from Germany, USA and China to present their thoughts on the future of BioSAXS technology development. The symposium will provide unique opportunities for graduate students, postdocs and young scientists to learn more about the BioSAXS technics.
The workshop is designed to learn BioSAXS theories and the latest BioSAXS methodology and computational methods for characterizing protein structures and dynamics.
Symposium and Forum (June 27-30, 2016)
Basic of BioSAXS theory
Practical aspects of preparing for SAXS data collection and experiment planning
Evaluation of SAXS data quality
Fitting SAXS data to atomic coordinates of biomolecules and SAXS-based structural model selection
Joint SAXS/NMR structure refinement for proteins and RNA
Joint SAXS/HPLC/DLS/MX/EM structure refinement for protein complexes
One-on-One consultation and project evaluation with the experts
State-of-the-Art technology workshop on BioSAXS and Structural Biology
We very much hope you are able to accept our invitation to attend this meeting. The forum and summer school is the ideal forum for all the participants to interact intensely, fostering wider collaborations and the use of novel BioSAXS and Structural Biology technologies.
We look forward to seeing you in Shanghai!
With our kindest regards,
